    • Since Audaces has decided to no longer offer their clothing sculpting tool to the CG community, it would be really cool if 3DCoat could have similar tools to compliment the existing cloth physics feature. This is really a cool alternative toolset to pattern sewing type applications. See this video to understand better. This video only show the cutting and sculpting tools, but auto-UV unwrapping for each panel cut is a nice part too. The automatic remeshing as it sculpts and cuts seems perfect for 3DCoat.
    • Emailed support but would love to hear any updates if possible.  My artists complain about lack of non-destructive adjustment support when I try to push us away from Substance Painter.  This would be a huge win for us and we could completely switch over to 3DCoat.  Thanks so much!
    • i will try this!  thanks carlosan!
    • @Turner hope this help  - Turntable Scanning In this section, turntable scanning is discussed briefly. https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/courses/blA/unreal-engine-capturing-reality-photogrammetry-basics-by-quixel/ZaV3/unreal-engine-capturing-reality-turntable-scanning - The Turntable Scanning course discusses this process in greater detail. https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/courses/Lep/unreal-engine-capturing-reality-principles-of-scanning-for-photogrammetry/XeLP/unreal-engine-capturing-reality-scanning-on-a-turntable
    • change the pan and zoom and assign them to the desired buttons
    • So I finally bought a "One by Wacom" graphic tablet that I want to use with 3D Coat. The included pen sports two programmable buttons and now I am wondering, what to set these to. What is practical? Maybe one set to "undo"? Any thoughts?
    • Krita 5.2.8 for Android Update We have updated Krita for Android and ChromeOS in the Google Play Store to 5.2.8, an Android/ChromeOS-only emergency release. This release fixes startup problems that happened on some devices with 5.2.6. Krita 5.2.8 for Android is now available both for beta-track users as well as in the "stable" release track. Note, however, that we still recommend treating Krita on Android as a beta release that might have bugs that impair your work, as well as a user interface that is not optimized for touch devices.
    • source... You can read how to hand paint normals on this thread. I’ve been experimenting more with fully hand painted PBR assets, my main idea behind it is still to enjoy as much as I can the process of creating 3D objects and tileables without having to rely too much on different softwares on top of allowing myself to be more expressive with my art, most of the textures you will see here were done in photoshop and were a blast to paint. The Normals, Albedo, Roughness, Metalness that will follow all had a paint pass. Painting those allowed me to break from traditional baking from a sculpt, which is not allowing me to have the shapes and “aberrations” that I’m looking for, and I’ll be honest, I just like to try new stuff just for fun. I’m having to limit myself to a simple pipeline due to a lack of personals time, most of those examples were done in around 4 hours for each of them.
    • This course is also available on Udemy and is currently on sale... https://www.udemy.com/share/10ceSD3@-p-djmbcUvwRRLZ7ZxS_aZ8Mz8AJJZEZBvcKrisPC4JOBNn_2pUPYBeD6HjWURrSuQ==/
    • Oh, answer founded. Stencil should be in Modulate mode.
    • Its debenitely not the issue with brush. I try a few of them. The problem is that all lasso will for some reason push depth above the surface: Heres result of sphere in Surface mode. In both cases i use brush - Absolute. Draw brush will produce the same result.
    • Sculpt Layers only works on Surface mode. Stencil resolution, model polygon density, models scale, brush parameters, stencil projection type, tool depth... There is some variables to take present. Try using another tool, like Vox Buildup like example.
    • Yes, according to the rules of photogrammetry you can do that. I shot a small object by placing it on a book with a clear texture and simply rotating the book. And it worked.
    • I don't have the new version of 3DCoat yet, but am wondering if I can spin an object on a turntable to capture it for photogrammetry (rather than moving around a stationary object). If so, does anyone know of any examples? TIA
    • If i try to use regular brush + stencil - it works as expected. But if i try to use vertex/box/rect. lasso, for some reason it creates unwanted "-" depth: Im not even sure why its happen? Can i avoid such behaviour?
    • Hi Oleg, Yes a while back I had sent a file but I understand that you are all busy. It's not really a file that is the issue, it is how the 3dc is exporting the gltf files and whether it is to the latest industry standard. https://www.khronos.org/news/press/khronos-gltf-2.0-released-as-an-iso-iec-international-standard Looking forward to some clarification on this. A lot of people could use your wonderful program but the message on the secondlife wiki is basically telling people not to because they will have problems. I was already using 3 DC before they changed to gltf and I am having problems. Many thanks for your attention
