    • Hello Carlosan. I'm just about to watch the first video carefully. It actually seems to come very close to what I had in mind. One question: Is there a possibility to upload pictures here to better show my concern ? How do I upload pictures here? Kind regards, ModderLS22. Hallo Carlosan.

    • What Paint Room "re-work" are you referring to? There are some developments (GPU brush engine and node network for Smart Materials if I understood correctly) underway, but I am not aware of an ETA. No one said there was a new UI being developed...just incremental improvements. Layer Mask revamp was part of this + search icon in panels, plus color image thumbnails on each layer, Activity Bar repositioned and made to hide away until you move your cursor near it, etc.
    • hi all .. just wondering does anyone know when the paint room rework is happening ? along with the new ui? i hear it was meant to come in V2022 but havent heard anything since , also anyone noticing serious performance issues for some of the sculpting brushes like flatten and smooth?
    • Version 4.9.67 is very old, sorry I can test on it. Try Geometry > Edit scene scale Hope this help
    • Yes, as example Shift+E+Z rotate in one direction You can also press space bar to add manually a value.
    • Hi Is this post useful for your issue ?

    • Hello! I'm new to 3D Coat but Ive had the program for a bit. I've been modelling a few objects to see my range on it and when making a house / tomb I was having trouble placing tiled bricks down in an increment size I'd like. When I hold down CTRL and drag the gizmo it seems to move position values by 25.00, but sizing up the object big enough to work on those increments causes my pc to lag.   Is there any way to adjust the specific number the gizmo moves at in CTRL - increment mode? Or is that not a feature in my version? I am using 3D coat 4.9.67 currently. Thank you for any sort of advice.
    • That's pretty incredible about using Lumen for cinematics. Despite its speed it still does total  displacement maps and even Vector displacement too. There does seem to be some doubt about it's ability to handle glass substances with refraction reflection attenuation density and caustics however.
    • And Lumen ? Also EEVEE Next is a great contendervs Vray, Redshift or Keyshot.   But on the other side Marmoset as Bake/render option to show off content is invaluable.  Its render quality, baking options and ease of use for showing presentations make it an almost essential tool. With a small finetuning 3DC can compete in that niche easily. For me, any addition that improves the quality of our work is welcome.
    • https://80.lv/articles/people-aren-t-happy-with-adobe-s-spyware-like-terms-of-service-update/  Users of Photoshop, Substance 3D, and other Adobe products are now required to provide the company with unlimited access to their creations. According to Adobe's new spyware-esque TOS, the company can access and view your creations through both automated and manual methods and even analyze your work using techniques such as machine learning. This has led many to believe that the company intends to use all user-generated content to train its AI models – a suspicion that aligns with Adobe's recent focus on generative artificial intelligence.
    • On retopo room there is a path indicator If you don't see it, try upgrading the drivers.
    • That is a hell of a lot of VRAM.  The price is actually quite reasonable all things considering.
    • Hello, Email sent the same day as reporting the issue, no reply since
    • Yes, of course it is possible to change that. The problem is that if you set ALT+MMB to rotate in space (like 3dsmax does), everything works fine. But the problem is that ALT+"rollmouse" is set to brush size, which does work, but in this mode, when the ALT key is pressed the cursor switches to "point" and is not interactively visible , the zoom in/out goes away because the brush icon disappears. I'll send you the settings where you can see it. So far I have temporarily solved it by deleting the "brush size" function on both SHIFT+ROLL and ALT+ROLL, but the visible icon is only visible on the version with SHIFT and ALT disappears when ALT+ROLL is set at the same time, as I described above. The solution would be if the stack icon was not switched off/on. I don't know if this is possible. It would be ideal if the basic navigation templates (maya, blender, 3dsmax,....) were already implemented and could be switched directly inside 3dcoat, because I'm sure like me, there are users who work synchronously in several programs at once and when switching from one to another it is a bit of a hassle to remember the different intuitive controls for each. (3dsmax navigation is easy to set up in all programs (blender, reallusion CC4/IC8, Unreal, Unity, Substance painter,....) but 3dscoat is still struggling. 3dsmax_navigation.navigation
