    old elf

Cool - Reminds me of Dobby the house elf from Harry potter films. I see you are an all Linux OS - whats your system details - I am curious to see if my machine would benifit from ubuntu/linux OS.
  2. In response to your earlier coment on your workflow for your Zbrush webinar - I agree - conceptualise (PLAY FUN!!CREATE !!!) first then refine the geo with retopology - I am from a games modeling background, I find my digital sculpting work is far too tentative. One of the reasons I bought 3DCoat was to lift these (self imposed) restrictions to my work - so also looking forward to seeing what comes out of ZSpheres2 as it seems much more voxely approach (if there is such a word). Yeah good to see some quality art/skill and how to use the app in a tut.
  3. OldMan with hat is done - far too tentative.
  4. Hi Ghostdog - I am also i n Brisneyland - was wondering who you were using for your 3D printing - and how you were finding pricing. Cheers Jake Hope to see more of your prints soon. EDIT - DUH READ THE FIRST POST !!!! Keep it up !!!!
  5. Leigh - great work on the webinar - I enjoyed trying to block out at the same time while you were doing your thing- but you knocked out the model stupid quick - so I had to stop and just sit and watch towards the middle - good job. I hope you do more, well worth getting up for at 5AM in the morning.
  6. Ja will probably try a version with the hair as a separte vox - Cheers for the feedback- my sketch has turned from girl to a dude - so will drop off two versions one guy one gal (as per LJB feeback re- brow).
  7. Cheers for the update Andrew - downloading now. Looking forward to having a good play -
  8. Hi Liegh Looking forward to your facial sculpting workshop tommorrow with Kurve (Or today where you are) - Yay!!!I get to sneak into work at 4:30 AM in the morning to use thier bandwidth.

  10. Hells Teeth - gymnastique - looks fantastic Look forward to seeing more of your stuff
  11. A quick sculpt based on based on one of enki bilal's sketches. I also need to finish off the old man this week. I still have to feminse the stylised head, looking far to manly.
  12. Thanks artman Both explinations were very helpfull!! Rocks!!!
  13. Hi I am working with a voxel sculpt and I want to change my position of my x symetry - How can I do this in 3Dcoat ? I have tried cloning the object to a new layer and moving it to where I want the symmetry to be. I have reset the symetry with the object at the new place - whith no result. Effectively I want to freeze the objects transforms at its new position. (please excuse the Maya speak) Any suggestions? Cheers
  14. Good thread Has anyone asked for a rake brush - or is it in allready in current version and I just havent figured it out?
  15. I managed to convert some photos a turtles head into a full turn around - but be aware that changes in focal depth and too much of a diference between shots in a sequence (not enough image overlap) will result in errors- as far as I understand it the software callibrates from the texture detail and "noise" in the object - so smooth object with flat lighting dont convert well.
  16. Cheers Phil Interesting thread. I have been playing with 3Dsee - also photo based - although you send your pics to thier server and they then process it and dump a mesh into your gallery (at this stage a low poly mesh in .dae format) - but its free. You can then put your object into thier creative commons gallery. 3DSee
  17. Wow somone has been busy !!! Great stuff!!!
  18. Nice QUAKE style cyborg Tinker - good to see your workflow.
  19. Cheers for the tuts LJB will be good to see how you do what your doing!!! Liked the horse head !!!!
  20. Some more playing around with the voxel sculpting component of 3Dcoat Tortose skull study - I am obsessed with bones - hence why I love the Voxel sculpting component - easy to create holes in surfaces- very organic. Also a torso study ( female - duh ) - stilll working on it based from a cylnder primitive. The chest area is being worked on as you can see from the scrape tool - and ribcage needs work. (Looking at a combination of greek sculptures - and more modern stone torso studies).
  21. Cool this study is looking good- Look forward to seeing more updates to the sketchbook
  22. Hi I have been working on this head sculpt during lunch breaks at work - using the demo copy ( bought myself a licence for home). Based on a voxel sphere primitive looking at some clay sculpts for reference. Will post hopefully again soon. Cheers Jake
  23. Looks like your having fun- is the render from 3D coat?
