  1. Mmmh no...it is not a "very little" feature they've implemented and pushed a lot, it's a new sculpting and rigging technique in ZB based on ZSpheres. By the way, this is not the only new feature they've promoted.... And don't forget, this update is free so they do the videos not for sale primary but for informing the users about new features coming. It's like the car salesman will promote a new car that he will give to you as a gift because you've bought your old one in his shop... I don't know why you always be that harsh...ZB lovefest....come on man, relax! We're talking about features...you're talking about fighting...this is no battlefield, it's 3D sculpting... As you can see in my previous post I referred to your thread to push 3DC video forward...so I'm on your side... Rene
  2. Right... I think that should not that hard to do... Because we're talking about timelapse videos of an App it's easy to get some nice video material. But we would need some cool music and voice(s) too. And not to forget...kinda script. AbnRanger has started a thread about this. Maybe he should give it a more content related name and we can collect all good ideas there? What do you think? Rene
  3. To much aggressive words for me...no comment...
  4. I learned my lesson well not to talk to much about an other 3D sculpting application in this forum, which is right...in some strange kind of sight. But come on guys, did anyone of you ever switched that thing on you're talking about? If not, please don't flame an App you didn't really know! I'd read many forum posts in ZB Forum about 3DC and be sure there were NEVER such negative posts. It's up to you "fighting" for 3DC in the way you want but please do a fair one! I'm a ZB user over years and I love 3DC too. Why not taking out the best of both? For me there is no reason for fighting one against the other... Rene
  5. that' s exactly what I've done...but nothing happens when I click edit in external editor...there is also an out of memory error when I try to load one of the predefined objects for per pxel painting...sometimes 3DC is crashing. I'm using the 64 bit version...
  6. tried 3.1.01 (GL64) Linux version. When I specify GIMP as external editor, nothing happens when I click EDIT->Edit all Layers in external Editor... Someone has experiences whith that? thx, Rene
  7. why don't you click the square in the voxel dialog? You get an empty scene...what's the problem? I like it as it is... Rene
  8. Mmmh, I think, this is one of the best Interfaces on the market of 3D Applications because....it is totally free configurable. If you don't like a menue...build your own. There is no other application offering this freedom I know...
  9. only a suggestion...a reordering of Buttons for switching between the different "rooms" in a more logical manner. In most cases the workflow will be sculpt -> retopo -> uv -> paint -> render exept for qauadrangulation or baking. Here is a picture for illustration: As you can see "Voxel" Tab is gone... in my oppinion the little bunch of "sculpting tools" should reside in paint-menue to make things clearer especially for beginners... greez, Rene
  10. Right...it's quite expensive for a single retopo tool...I saw nothing in the videos you can't do with 3DC...
  11. Mmmh, there is no such menue entry in my Version... I'm using Win32 without CUDA. Anyone with same problem?? Ahhh, I've found the reason...It only works with a new pen folder...mmmh maybe there should be a hint about this?
  12. Seems a little bit to complex for that...
  13. Hey Ghostdog thx for the tip! Didn't know this before...As 3DC can export .stl directly, is it possible to use this model for 3d-Printing without any conversion? Rene
  14. A hint...don't let your skills decide what kind of dog you'll sculpting. If it doesn't look the way you like don't say..."okay now I'll go for a freakish look" that's the easy way. Try to reach your goal! Take as much references as you can get. Put them in 3DC and you will see whats wrong. Never give up tweaking until it looks like the dog you had in mind...And believe me it will cost a hundreds of digital dogs lifes before you are satisfied. Trust me, there are hundreds of heads in my cellar And the most important thing...believe in yourself! If you think you never can do a good dog in 3DC, you never will. But be critical to your self and follow the crits of the experienced users... Have fun! Rene
  15. Thank's for the great explanations! But what is this all for? I mean which kind of workflow can I achieve with this? Let's say I'm sculpting a head...To raise the amount of detail I have to increase resolution. Why should I go back any level whith the effect of loosing detail? Rene
  16. Some people thinking they are able to define ART. Art for me is everything that comes out of anyones mind. A special sight of the world from a persons viewpoint. In my oppinion your sculpt is showing good ideas and proportions and as artman said this stage is not the end of the world... Don't bother about a single stupid comment...keep on working! Detailing this one or make tons of new ones...it's up to you. Your skills will grow constantly... Feel free to post any of your works here... greez, Rene
  17. +1 from me too... must be the most requested new feature now ? Rene
