  1. 3DCoatGL64_GuqykS4vE4.mp4 The video above is very descriptive of the error. I have 2 objects in the paint room that i need to export, but 3D is shutting down. This is the file for download and testing: https://we.tl/t-Fb7KJsMP9T One thing that could be the error is the AUTOPO, it leaved some holes in the mesh, but i didn't bother to clean it. Thank you!
  2. Hard crashed yesterday and locked up my pc while painting a sculpt. Turned out that in documents/3DCoat/data/Undo there were over 35 GBs of files piled up leaving my with almost non HD space. I assumed to occurred over the course of the day while modeling. Similar thing happens in documents/3DCoat/UserPrefs/UserScenes with autosave files.
  3. Sometimes Alt+Click layer shows only that layer or shows all layers and sometimes it only shows and hides that layer. It's repeatable, but not predictable (seems intermittent). Version 2021.92 on Windows 10, 64-bit.
  4. Build 2021.61 Smart Retopo > Quadrangulation works right up until I click on Apply (or hit Enter). Once Apply is clicked no mesh is created. It just disappears.
  5. 3DCoat 2021.6 on MacOS Try to use cloth tool and just get spinning beach ball. Force quit after waiting 5 minutes. Running cloth tool on Windows with the same objects and settings starts almost instantly and finishes in a few seconds. Would like to use this on MacOS since it is where I do most of my work. -Kevin
  6. Retopo stroke tool doesn't slice when I drag from empty space. I see the red line dragging, my fps going down, but when I release - nothing happens, no stroke that loops around the mesh. Everything else works, can still draw strokes and make polygons on the mesh.
  7. Hello! In latest 3DCoat (2021.02) I try and import FBX meshes into the Sculpt Models tab and they do not show up. OBJ files work perfectly. Is anyone else having this issue? Thank you.
  8. Hello. Now I'm a relatively new user to 3d coat, and I've decided to try out the 30 day trial, see if I can pop-out some skins and practice with the program since right now I cannot afford the full package just yet. So I'm downloading the program, setting it up and making sure everything is running properly, when I run into the issue in the image included. Upon opening up a model, it glitches out and is facing straight up instead of sideways on the X axis, and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Is anyone able to help? I'm running version 4.5.38(DX64) if that helps...

  12. the default maximum depth is 30, and it should decrease if I change the number. However, using the cutout tool, the depth depends on my camera angle and pays no attention to the maximum depth
  13. It seem's the warp prewiew bug is not fixed on latest version. I love the warp function. but, it is currently difficult to do accuracy works I love the warp function. but, this bug makes it difficult to do things that require accuracy.

I recently started to get back into 3d coat, and decided to go back into my 4.5 version, but after fooling around and having my cat stupidly run across my keyboard after being spooked, I can't seem to paint on the models I'm using anymore? Whenever I go to draw or color on any part of the model, it erases instead of coloring. I've looked through the settings, tried all the keybinds, uninstalled and reinstalled probably about 10 times, restarted my computer about 4 times, unplugged and even restarted my tablet drivers, and nothing. Can someone help out?

Hi, in the retopo room, when you use the Move Tool, and press F2 you choose to vertice mode, but, if you press again accidentally , you will move nothing. this is not a bug, is a problem that I have: In the select tool, if you are in vertices mode for example, and you press F2 again, it will be in automatic selection mode, I would like this not to happen, since sometimes I press F2 again without realizing

  21. Hello! I just bought it today, hoping that it works because in trial version it doesn't work. Basically what I was trying to say I'm trying to have multiples quads when dragging which is quicker than clicking at each quad. But it doesn't work for no reason. I created points for each quads and then drag the first quad across the screen by holding right click. But it's didn't work, it just gave me only one quad than giving me multiple quads. Does anyone have same problem? Any suggestions? Thank you guys
  22. Please move to bug forum as I'm unable to create posts there for some reason. I used the Sculpt Room Primitive tool, I selected a cube from the models tab where alphas and such are for brushes. I enabled Click to Place, Scale to Brush Radius, Use Stroke Direction. I place the primitive on to an existing surface(eg another cube), it looks correct, I can keep placing it. If I change my mind and choose a different model(or just click the same cube model again), the latice deforms. To correct this one must click reset axis(or reset primitive), then select the model to load again, the latice will be corrected, which avoids distorted mesh, although orientation was lost(I'm not sure why orientation was changing slightly in the first place). You may notice that the reloaded mesh/model had grown in size, this is a 2nd bug, just keep clicking the model icon to reload it, it will grow in size progressively to a certain point(not sure why there is a limit). This 2nd bug occurs when scale has been altered(only seems to affect smaller scale not larger than original scale). So altering scale via transform/lattice toggle or Scale to Brush Radius cause this error. 1st bug is related to Use Stroke Direction. Using Transform/Lattice Toggle and scaling/rotating the model, repositioning it with Click to Place and reloading the model doesn't appear to distort the lattice, but slight rotation offset can be noted of the lattice from the model, this fixes itself(applies incorrect lattice transformation to model) when transforming or repositoining the lattice/model(Click to Place or Transform/Lattice toggle gizmo). I noticed no difference with Use Stroke Direction(just testing now). It was when the scale was made smaller like Scale to Brush Radius setting when enabled that the lattice distortion was more evident from a rotation. No rotation, just click to place with Scale to Brush Radius and small brush radius, then reload the model, the lattice has enlarged but model stays original size, use Click to Place without scaling to the brush or use gizmo to move/transform the shape and it will then apply the lattice to itself, if you load another model in again instead of a transform, it will also apply the lattice(increase scale), then grow the lattice again with the model being replaced with larger size model. I have tried with Use Stroke Direction on different sides of the cube I was attaching the primitive model to, the lattice behaves differently(no orientation via Use Stroke Direction, and just Click to Place and Scale to Brush Radius results in lattice growing equally all lengths), on the top face I was noticing only scaling in the y axis, it also adjusted the orientation on that axis.
  23. I try to change normal sampling value to minimal = 5 - but it not change behavior of the brush. It begin change it angle to surface similar to normal sampling = 100 as soon as the edge of brush cursor touch the vertical surface - the brush begin change its tilt. But when normal sampling is = 5 - tilt of the brush must change when center of brush cursor will approach to vertical surface - but not edge of cursor. Only in Flatten tool - normal sampling work good I already reset Options-files in Documents/3D-Coat - it dont help( How to fix this problem?
  24. Hey everyone, I have a problem which I've already googled but it's still not clear to me how I can fix it. I have an X marked on my color palette and it's only painting white for me now. A response as to how to fix this problem said: " It is the disabled secondary color icon, shown with a cross on it. You need to enable both primary and sec. color to paint. But it is strange indeed for a feature, it is rather a bug." But how do I do this exactly? I'm stuck. Thank you for your help.
