Member Fabrice Posted August 6, 2013 Member Report Share Posted August 6, 2013 Hello all, I'm new on 3DCoat, I've just bought the educational version. I've started to learn voxel/surface room and I wanted to publish my first works. This last isn't finished. I try to make an orc with armor and weapons. Thanks for looking, Fabrice.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted August 6, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted August 6, 2013 I think you are a 'natural'. Good start!
Advanced Member gbball Posted August 6, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 6, 2013 Cool stuff man, I like the machine a lot! I also like the orc, Remember to keep you polycount low initially. You could probably manage that with 100k mesh in surface mode and then use crease clay to make your sharp edges. It'll be a lot easier to smooth out some of those lumpy spots if you do that. Great start though!
Member Fabrice Posted August 6, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted August 6, 2013 Thanks a lot for the tips. The orc already counts more than 5 millions, I will decrease the mesh. I think I could add more details after retopology by painting displacement.
