Are you working on orthographic mode ? Every single click is done on individual layer ? Try this depth settings: MAX

Hi all, Trying to paint depth detail using a stencil, and single poly brush. Single click to each relevant poly & I'm getting different depth values. It's clearly stronger on some than others. Tried multiple times. Any suggestions as right now it seems like a bug Thanks in advance

It was due to self intersection of a single mesh though. I eventually exported to another program and removed the offending geometry there.

I will also contact development about this because it is a personal request/suggestion I made in the past. They added Photoshop style Layer Masks just prior to the release of 2024. I made the request then and Andrew said he did not have time to add it before the release. Hopefully, he will add it in the coming month or two.

The only interest I had in Modo was Meshfusion as it was developed by Darrel Anderson, the same person who created Groboto3D. And was quite similar (as far as I understand) in fuctionality as Grobto3D.

I think there was some misunderstanding on his part. He must not have noticed that Oleg also confirmed the bug. I think he assumed you were not using Autopo correctly (because some of the objects/parts could or should have been Auto-Retopologized separately (ie. the Teeth, Belt loops in the pants, etc.). But, even if that is the case, there should have been a mesh generated, so you could see if it is doable without stroke guides and such. A bug is a bug. Could you send me the file (or a dummy version of the model) via PM, for me to test and see if there is an issue with the mesh itself? It will not be used for any other purpose, but testing alone. 

As I mentioned in a previous post, please contact Sales@Pilgway.com and ask them to extend the sale for you because the website prevented you from upgrading while the sale was active. They will absolutely honor that. 

autopo didnt generate any mesh , thats all .. ive tried a few things but nothing

When I try to merge two objects in the Sculpt work space I'm presented with this error message, but the option does not appear where it claims. Am I missing something?

I agree with everyone here! This request would be a significant change for 3dCoat, as non-destructive software is ideal for production environments. I completely understand that companies like Riot Games have amazing artist working without a non-destructive system in 3dCoat, they have a big budget and a lot of time to make changes. However, in medium and small studios, supervisors or art directors often request live changes, and the ability to connect or disconnect nodes or adjustment layers can make a big difference in terms of budget. That's the main reason why substance is so popular. I think the forum is not the best place to vote for tool requests because most 3dCoat users are not active here. Many users don't even know they need to send an email to request new features or implementations. I remember when Substance was property of Allegoritmic, they had a system for gathering customer feedback on new developments, users can vote for the most important features. And in the end, it paid offf! 3DCoat could implement something similar by dividing requests into areas like Sculpt, UVs/Retopo, Painting, Modeling. To attract new customers and retain existing ones, the company needs to build customer loyalty. That's one of the core principles of marketing. (business moment xD sorry) And lastly, I want to thank the developers for creating such an amazing software! I absolutely love it!

Autopo will be used without any issue, the hard part is to learn how and when. This is not a bug but your path of learning the software. It is difficult to help if you don't explain your current workflow 

Yeah it's strange. Even if I adjust image so there are no 100% black pixels at all, it still picks dark areas as 100% white for some reason.   Also for some reason when I extrude selection and then undo it, the red selection disappears and image works normal. But sometimes it doesn't happen. Sometimes it happen when I just extrude the image, but when I undo it, the red selection is back. See gif below:

im not sure what this means?   are you saying autopo shouldnt be used?  i was only posting a bug with the tool .... not sure what ive done wrong.

Yes, I agree with your post. But I do kind of, sort of agree with the no build being available. But IF I was given the option, I would have renewed yesterday with the discounted price. I also understand the environment in Ukraine is not pleasant for Andrew and Pilgway staff due to the war.
