  2. do you have a high model and some decimated models ? bake the high textured model over the decimates ones at lower resolution
  3. i use at Retopo Room Basic: Select e-panel: paint with drawn contour Commands: Hide Hide: Store Hidden state If your model is in Surface mode Hide: activate Hide Tool At paint room you can make some face invisible, and switch back to retopo room
  4. The model is huge, like 50+ the standard the UVset have faces overlaped

  6. new terms isnt the big problem here lack of standard naming conventions is Use the old v2 name Voxel Room when users can Sculpt using Voxels or Surface mode is To have a VoxTree menu is To name surfaces like materials is yadda yadda yadda 3DC need a cleanup, not now for sure. We need to keep the focus killing bugs. but must be in the roadmap
  7. everything worked right and got it to blender got everything fixed if the model have a UVset save the model like .obj go to paint room - new project and import model for per pixel painting -this mode is good to make normal maps- -> dont use Layer0 for painting, leave it as it. Layer0 is use by 3DC to perform some software tasks.
  8. there is a free software to visually edit the HLSL/GLSL shaders Shazzam Shader Editor i registered at the site requesting a download link... but never got a reply and never found where to download it --------------------- So i installed RenderMonkey and im learning how to use it

  10. 3DC have a great grown potential & V4 is coming to be a solid rock my pov being a relative new user 3dc is dragging old builds naming conventions and looks like there is no time to make an effort to change it. The dev are focused atm to killerbugs and the work done is frankly amazing Will be the next step in the roadmap to make a software cleanup ? sculpt room = tweak room voxel room = sculpt room voxeltree (?) = no idea but other At tools UI... Surface Submenu below Voxels tools -in between objects(?) and commands(?) etcetc -------------------------------------------- -> I propose to open a new post titled naming conventions to put all the name changes needed by the community help doing a good brainstorm and just to do one and clear request to Andrew regards

Standardization is the Key to sucess new users need to edit the xml to have naming conventions right ? cmon if its so easy to do it... well... naming conventions must be in the standard install file. and discussions about to change Autopo to AutoREtopo. Discussions about to add 2 letters ? relax people... keep your time finding bugs... respect the naming conventions.

Hi Paint Room When is use paint tool, all the brush perimeter is used... big brush = big paint stroke But... when i use airbrush only a tinny point at the middle of the brush is used to paint, and the falloff is imperceptible I grow the brush size but nothing.... using any brush type i only can paint with a tinny point. looks like paint tool have more influence area that airbrush -------------------------------------------- 2nd point i use paint tool opacity at 56, is ok airbrush is used at 200 opacity and paint very very soft let me say... airbrush tool at 200 paint like paint tool at 15 whats im doing wrong ? ty in advance
