Applink Developer haikalle Posted December 26, 2009 Applink Developer Report Share Posted December 26, 2009 Not again.... well I had a plan that I'm going to do something more human this time but. But I like monsters so much so one more monster and then something else. This is early alpha stage. Right now there 0.4 mil triangles.

Applink Developer haikalle Posted December 30, 2009 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted December 30, 2009 Thanks for the feedback. Well...Sometimes when I am sculpting I go a little bit crazy and and change my models shape. (with pose and move tools) Trying to find inspiration. I did with this model and it turned like this. With this one, I only used Rapid tool(Suface) and sometimes I went back to voxels and added a leg (using primitives tools). Current there is 3.1 mil triangles.

Applink Developer haikalle Posted January 12, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted January 12, 2010 A small update. Now there is 8.3 mil triangles. While doing this I was thinking that it would be nice to have Symmetry copy with lasso tools. Well..here it is.

Applink Developer haikalle Posted January 19, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 Here is update. Right now there is 12 mil triangles. Taros
Looks cool. But the beneath part needs some more attention. The legs looks a little bit "unfinished".
Applink Developer haikalle Posted January 19, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 Thanks Taros. I didn't see it at first but I totally agree with you about the legs. Something is missing there. I have to work with them a little bit more...
Contributor artman Posted January 19, 2010 Contributor Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 Very nice character! Cool presence and personality! Only need tweaking of the hips/belly region a little I think.(maybe thinner ? ) At 12mil its not easy to do some proportion tweaking with move brush. But with a few undos you should be able to get it right. (Or just make multiple saves or copies and choose your favorite.)
Applink Developer haikalle Posted January 23, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted January 23, 2010 Thanks Artman for the feedback. The idea behind of bigger belly is I wanted to make it fat. I tried with smaller belly and it worked very well too. This is my final sculpt with voxel clay There is 17 mil triangles. There is still small things to fix but I'm going to leave them for now and fix them while retopoly the sculpt. Next step is to take this beast to blender and Vray. Let's see how it goes. I'm scared. Applink Developer haikalle Posted February 3, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 Here is a closer look. Taros, I used auto retopoly option, because I don't have plans to animate this. So it was quick and easy.

Advanced Member spacepainter Posted February 3, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 Great texture! Did you paint it or is it a photo ??
Applink Developer haikalle Posted February 4, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted February 4, 2010 Hi Spacepainter, This is from photo. I used one picture about rough rocks. I filled hole model with that material at first and then I started to use 3d-coat tools like "clone tools" to shape it better.
Applink Developer haikalle Posted June 25, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 Here is small update again. Because of new proxy system, I was able to re-pose this sculpt and continue to work with this scultp, after a big break. There is still something odd with render engine. I'm not able to get nice pictures if you use larger image size. (bigger than your screen.) If someone can show the steps how to do it that would be great.
Advanced Member michalis Posted June 25, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 I like this very much, I can't imagine how many polys are here. Well, well done, You can convert this to multi res model in blender you know. Impressive About render sizes. What's the problem? I usually ask for a custom ~1000x1000 and then go for 2x or 3x. And don't forget to name and assign the path first. Warning! after the rendering, assign a different name because 3dc will overwrite the next render. Applink Developer haikalle Posted June 25, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 Michalis, All the settings are there. But it dosen't work. For example give me one frame image (large resolution image). There is 30mil triangles right now.
Advanced Member michalis Posted June 25, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 the mac version can't handle 30mil, I can't test the renderer. Maybe out of RAM? For a 5mil model it works (last build) Update: it works fine for 20mil, I just checked it.
