Retopo Room - Next Steps
Carlosan replied to Gorbatovsky's topic in New Releases, Bugs Reports & Development Discussion
Hi This new tool was added on latest version 4.8.35. Please take a look - Curves got really rich update. Now it is possibly to construct many different shapes using curves in non-destructive way. Click RMB over the curve and look at the list of modifiers. There are videos that describe how it works: Swept Surface 1 - https://youtu.be/8BCawmVqGK4 Creating a surface of revolution - https://youtu.be/XdYuoaNIwsA Polyhedron - https://youtu.be/c7Xld8udEXM Swept Surface 2 - https://youtu.be/pLkBVx8vKPI Swept Surface 3 - https://youtu.be/p8g6pn_810s Sword - https://youtu.be/Qyy-aqPG1iY Goose - https://youtu.be/f9mY5wlvvwA -
Could you please check latest version 4.8.35 Thx

Retopo Room - Next Steps
Carlosan replied to Gorbatovsky's topic in New Releases, Bugs Reports & Development Discussion
Yes, applying booleans in a non-destructive way is essential and became a basic tool in all software. Let me add this reference. I hope will be useful to understand current used workflows. This is a process for creating hardsurface game assets, automating the highpoly and lowpoly stages as much as possible. Using this technique the artist can spend more time focusing on form design, less time on tedious operations relating to subdivision or optimization. by Amsterdam Hilton Hotel source -

Retopo Room - Next Steps
Carlosan replied to Gorbatovsky's topic in New Releases, Bugs Reports & Development Discussion
Hi Alex As you know Mantis is full of open reports for Retopo Room. Please tell me (private PM) which is your name profile at mantis, and i can assign all that request to your account. Thx -
Is not easy, check the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\3D-Coat-2-trees\Textures\leafs 2-0-composition.dds is the base leaf texture, have been divided into four zones (every zone is a different leaf with alpha) You need to make a new texture with 4 palmer leaf and assign it on Bilboards at desired branches level. Same for truck, you need to create and add Bark textures.

GODOT 3.1 IS OUT, IMPROVING USABILITY AND FEATURES By: Juan Linietsky Mar 13, 2019 After a bit more than one year of work, the Godot developers and contributors are delighted to get their new release out the door, Godot 3.1! It brings much-requested improvements to usability and many important features. Godot 3.0 was a massive release, which required large rewrites of the engine codebase and breaking backwards compatibility significantly. This new version builds upon it by improving it and finishing the pending work. As a result, Godot 3.1 feels more mature and easy to use, and it does away with many hurdles introduced in the previous versions. Download Godot 3.1 now and keep on reading about the great features added in this version.

[Solved] 3d Coat doesn't save texture on file > save
Carlosan replied to kritskiy's topic in General 3DCoat
Hi Alan Which fix are you referring for ? -
The Meshroom team have revealed Meshroom 2019.1, the first major update to the open-source photogrammetry software. The update is said to improve the speed and quality of mesh generation, add support for source images captured using projected light patterns, and remove the need for an Nvidia GPU. Updates: 3D Viewer: Load and compare multiple assets with cache mechanism and improved navigation Display camera intrinsic information extracted from metadata analysis Easier access to a more complete sensor database with a more reliable camera model matching algorithm. Attribute Editor: Hide advanced/experimental parameters by default to improve readability and simplify access to the most useful, high-level settings. Advanced users can still enable them to have full access to internal thresholds. Graph Editor: Improved set of contextual tools. Nodes: Homogenization of inputs/outputs parameters Meshing: Better, faster and configurable estimation of the space to reconstruct based on the sparse point cloud. Favors high-density areas and helps to remove badly defined ones. Draft Meshing (no CUDA required): the result of the sparse reconstruction can now be directly meshed to get a 3D model preview without computing the depth maps. MeshFiltering: Now keeps all reconstructed parts by default. StructureFromMotion: Add support for rig of cameras Support for reconstruction with projected light patterns and texturing with another set of images You can get more details here.

I prefer always nVidia over AMD, but dont know what is your budget.
