Advanced Member GeeJay Posted July 5, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 Hi, can the tiling of the materials overlay be influenced or even turned off? I am trying to place decals (single images, like a sticker for example) and find that hard to do with them bein tiled. Thanks! Member Mark Curtis Posted July 14, 2012 Member Report Share Posted July 14, 2012 I wholey support this request I recently had to recreate a very detailed and very complex texture on a very high polygon model. Initially I was unsure if 3DC could handle it, as some of the other programs I was using were beginning to choke on the poly counts and texture sizes involved ... but 3DC handled it like a champ. The only thing that made it a little difficult was lining up the individual textures tiles (materials) with the base mesh, due to the tiling effect. The pinned scale function mentioned by The Candy-floss Kid would have also been very useful. That said ... 3DC really came up champs on this job, and the results were far better than I was expecting.
