Advanced Member 3DArtist Posted October 4, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 Those look great! Nice pose and expression, looks like they get along with each other. Did you pose them in ZBrush?
Contributor artman Posted October 4, 2010 Contributor Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 Those came up really great! I like both of them! Reminds me alittle of Ralph Stumpf 's stuff.Very Nice work.
Contributor Greg Posted October 4, 2010 Contributor Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 While I always admire the technical expertise involved in creating realistic characters, this is the type 3D work I really enjoy! Great work Leigh! Greg
Member Robert G Posted October 5, 2010 Member Report Share Posted October 5, 2010 This is really beautifull Leigh, in which software did you render them? Thanks for posting these here. Regards, Robert
Advanced Member Rich_Art Posted October 5, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 5, 2010 Wow great characters. As what greg said, I like this type of characters more than the realistic ones. Peace, Rich_Art.

Contributor LJB Posted October 5, 2010 Author Contributor Report Share Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks Guys. They are rendered in this instance in ZB purely because i had only a day and a half to cloath and texture. No time to play with extrernal render settings. Once everything is completed I will post something in the 'Finished' gallery.

How is your experience there, all ok or do you miss something in the new version?
Contributor LJB Posted October 6, 2010 Author Contributor Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 Very cute. So the textures were made in zBrush too? How is your experience there, all ok or do you miss something in the new version? Still work old skool in ZB in many ways with alot of the new features not appealing to me at all, But I guess when things get easier time wise I will sit to and play around some. Getting my head around Spotlight, but finding it alright. you?
Advanced Member michalis Posted October 6, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 Spotligh is fine. I was waiting for a better retopo tool there but its even worst. I'm not sure if their graphics engine can handle this kind of modeling, I'm wondering. A lot of crashes in this mode. I played with baking AO and most importantly cavity masks. You could add some sss though, it has fun. BPR is fine.

Getting my head around Spotlight, but finding it alright. you? I don't use zBrush, but am interested to see what is happening there. So I can't say something about that. I've only read, that zBrush is supporting paint layers and wanted to know how your experience is with that. I am still using 3DC for all sculpting, but sculpting is currently not important for me. My main work plays in the paint area of 3DC. Best wishes Chris
Advanced Member Scott Padbury Posted October 7, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 Great stuff Leigh!! Now if I can only get the smoothing like you do.
Contributor LJB Posted October 9, 2010 Author Contributor Report Share Posted October 9, 2010 Great stuff Leigh!! Now if I can only get the smoothing like you do. Higher Strength with the domed yet hard edged pen I use general smoothing quite sparingly But the pen and Higher setting above can actually be used to almost sculpt the mesh giving nice clean results. Advanced Member Garagarape Posted October 26, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 Ok, This guy is pink, and his name is Quinch To tell the truth, I didn't knew him and his friend "Doctor". Forgive me, in France we had only the basics (Avengers, Fantastic4, Thor and all those guys...) when I was young. Funny characters though!
