Alpha 48 Bug ...

Pewter Renderer in VOX module does not Render properly.

The Pewter seems to lose one aspect that does not rotate around with the other pewter material aspect.

Do I need to share an image ??? This seems very reproducable here.

This kind of thing is happening to most of the shaders, Picmat in particular. Akira wrote them and, not to put words in his mouth, it sounded like he will fix them soon when he has time.

I hope someone will fix these shaders as they are very very nice.

Perhaps s little bit more blend between the two components in some

of these shaders that appear to render in two layers.

The looks is nice. Great even. I just think it could use a little more

tweeking (softness)

When using tranform tool on sub objects the object will turn red like as in the transpose select mode.This causes severe slowdown of transforming object and on more dense meshes freezes computer for a few minutes till selection is made.It doesn't happen all the time but more often than not.

Version:3D-COAT 3-00-ALPHA-48(CUDA)(GL)

Memory status: integrity failure!

Sounds like a 3DCoat bug. Or is it a memory problem ???

Integrity failure sounds like something unexpected found in memory.

Please advise.

Could this be Video memory conflict with main memory ????

Is it possible that I made something that has an "unmarchable" area ????

Using 3DCoat GL version (no cude)

on a machine without NVIDIA

...

I can sculpt just fine ...

but when I chose a pewter shader ...

things go to VERY VERY BAD and it freezes

as if it is trying very hard, but can't get it

done.

ATI Radeon (256MB)

And this gets bad again after you have to KILL using task manager.

Then you forget that you had chosen a bad shader / unsupported ???

And you go to open a previously saved file ... and it takes

FOREVER because you are once again dealing with a shader

w/o proper hardware.

You have to help users discover that there hardware is

less than optimal when you can.

Alpha 54:

1) In Voxels primitives: on pressing enter with symmetry applied, the sphere doesnt mirror to the other side. Other primitives work fine.

2) Also, on sym. quadrangulation there is a problem with the middleline, pls see attached image

3) Auto quadrangulation leaves holes for me, on every mesh, a screenshot is attached:

The latest alphas, 53 and 54 64dx, when pressing render then ok the program crashes and the system restarts.Can't send bug report because of the severity of issue.

After crashing I can't open file again,it just hangs.(I made backup file so it's ok)

I'm using clay as shader.Will test other shaders to see if the same result occurs.

Just tested with default sphere and it renders fine, but not the file I'm working on.

Picking a Shader on some machines can cause a FREEZE.

This should never be the case. Some kind of pre-requisite testing

needs to happen. Or a bug needs fixing.

I have something like a Radean X1550 graphics card.

Here's a bug in 54, not sure if it was mentioned before. When I use Transpose I usually Select With pen, with a hard edged pen, then Shift+paint to smooth the edges out. That way it's always nice an even. However as you can see in the video below, shift+paint is causing it to disappear. If I paint over the empty space it comes back, but it looks all weird like spattered paint. This is on a sphere with slight sculpting and "increase subD" hit twice.

just a quickie:

alpha55 Simple DX (nVidia 7800Go 256mb graphics card)

minimizing 3DC to the taskbar and then restoring does not refresh main window screen (window

borders show, but what's 'inside' remains the view of the desktop).

solution: maximize window, then restore back to non-maximized 'editable' window size

Alpha 55 bug with quadrangulation, I clone and degrade my model and delete the high res version, then i apply quadrangulation and i get 2 lowpoly meshes.

I have a pretty serious bug with the curves panel (i dont know if thats the name but you make it appear by pressing "E").

It was great to be able to chop off volume just by drawing a curve but now it doesnt work anymore. Wether i add or subtract the moment i move the cursor over the sculpt (while im drawing a line with the lasso tool) it will stop drawing the line, show the normal sculpting cursor and do absolutely nothing.

This is very annoying because i use it alot to shape stuff. I love this feature/tool actually. :lol:

Please fix this. I dont recall having this problem with the previous version.

Thats odd.. Im running 32 bit DX non Cuda. Which version are you running?

Before i forget. Its specifically freeform lasso thats giving me the trouble. The other's seem to work correctly.

So polyxo.. does your freehand lasso tool work correctly?

Philnolan3d, you remember you "had" it? Do you still have the bug in the latest version?

Can anyone confirm this bug? Please? Little hard for Andrew to fix (or for me to see its system related which to be honest i cant imagine) if its not confirmed. :)

Yes you most definately could do it with freeform lasso. Ive used it extensively before. Even on my earliest tests (like the shell which ive removed from veoh quite a while ago) i used it. Its an awesome tool. :)

Your movie shows the problem perfectly.

Hi Andrew here is a problems in paint mode, Beta 57

I retopo one of my models and unwrap the uv in blender and i found weirds artifacts ussing Draw with Splines with depth.

And problems with Symmetry.
