Advanced Member jacobo Posted September 10, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2009 Ok... I managed to drag and drop images from IE 8... And it seems to work fine... There are issues with Firefox 3.5+ which is the browser I use all the time...
philnolan3d
Sounds like the drag-drop bug has been fixed.
Advanced Member wailingmonkey Posted September 10, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2009 Tinker ... drag-n-drop = non-essential feature (but potentially quite handy) personally, I was just pointing out it was broke. For sure, the release has more important fixes and features.
Member Reactor Posted September 10, 2009 Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2009 Eh? How has it been fixed? It doesn't work at all for me. What about drag&drop - the main thing there is dragging files from Finder/explorer. Andrew, the number one thing for me (aside from a few other workflow adjustments and bug fixes!) is this, so thankyou for trying to get it going. Being able to drag drop images to make materials sounds like a dream come true. Right now though, as mentioned, I can't do that... so something's not quite right. EDIT: I should mention, I'm running CUDA, but the problem is in both Opengl and Direct X.

Member human0id Posted September 10, 2009 Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2009 since the new update i have some very weird issues. first i draw simple curves with the curve tool. then i switch to muscle tool and draw in some muscles. so far so good. i switch back to curves and choose spline/rectangle for my curve. again i switch to muscle tool, draw a muslce and that's my result. the muscles don't work anymore. they are bulbs or somtehing and the have the shape of the last selected spline/obj. this is very frustrating. i'm on vista x64 and i've tried it with cuda and without, dx or open gl. everytime the same result. am i the only one with this prob? help please! File -> New should give a fresh initialized 3DC to us. Actually previously created curves are still present... greez, Rene

Member vil Posted September 11, 2009 Member Report Share Posted September 11, 2009 First, I am very glad that the 1st dot linux bug got fixed. second, some notions to new tools: muscle - it's great that it can take profiles from curves and spikes tool, I love it, but maybe it should have it's own ui in muscles tool. toothpaste - with the default brush(and others) there can become empty space easily, since the toothpaste fills usually only in positive direction, it would be nice to work more in depth too. philnolan3d
I made a rig of curves and saved it for future use. I think I still have to work on the proportions though. One problem here after I made it I realized that it will always be symmetrical. There should be an "apply symmetry" for curves. That way I'd be able to set him up like this then put him in an asymmetrical pose.
