farsthary
Thanks guys! @ Michaelgdrs Yes update builds though are considered experimental tend to be more on the stable side, my developments are on what can be considered the nightly builds in the inner circle. But soon enough will be moved to official builds

Advanced Member Aleksey Posted November 20, 2015 Advanced Member Share Posted November 20, 2015 not sure if this is the right place to post, but some kind of visual feedback while painting guides like this would kick ass!

Yes please make auto-retopo more like this in 3D-coat! The source code for the program shown in the video is available on Github. Please have a look at it Farsthary! Maybe it will give you some good ideas for 3D-Coat! The source code is here: https://github.com/wjakob/instant-meshes
Taros
pilgway is already informed about the "instant field" project. Thank you for your postings. @Don: Very nice hint. I will take a look on the mira tools too. I started to work in blender some months ago. I miss some tools but the first results looks very promising. Carlosan
Solving a bug in CloseHoles, 80%, and implementing an algorithm for better contour partitioning
Carlosan
Farsthary At the heart of several tools that I have developed in the past lays a contour partitioning algorithm. It was robust and could handle arbitrary contour shapes, but recently I got a bug report assigned related to CloseHoles tool, and after a careful debugging I found that the partition was indeed robust, but not “clean” enough, it could sometimes create fan like splits which was actually undesired. What started as a routine bug hunt ended up improving greatly the code for a much more neat contour partition algorithm. Before After: new algorithm
