Contributor artman Posted January 26, 2010 Contributor Share Posted January 26, 2010 Wow! That guy Francesco Mai really did good showcase work! If you could replace the Sabertooth Tiger with one of those pics I think it would help display voxel sculpting strength. The Mammoth and Ostrich are really powerful showcase pieces but the Sabertooth Tiger is not Rick's best piece I think. Great work from Pilgway once again! Advanced Member SonK Posted January 27, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted January 27, 2010 Great work Andrew! My favorite new feature has to be the realtime rendering room - which i'll try out tomorrow. edit: i just tried the real time stuff, doesn't seem to work?...i took a voxel sphere into the room, turn on real-time adjust some parameters..nothing happens. Advanced Member 3dCoatWannabe Posted January 28, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted January 28, 2010 I was able to download 3.2, but this page http://www.3d-coat.com/3d-coat-32/ mentions "General changes: - Updated user manual" - and when I downloaded the pdf from the main downloads page http://www.3d-coat.com/download/ , it was still for 3.1. Is that http://www.3d-coat.com/3d-coat-32/ page itself the new user manual?
philnolan3d
The new manual comes with the program. Just look in Help > 3D-Coat Manual. I just tried it.

Advanced Member GED Posted January 29, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted January 29, 2010 (im downloading new version to try freeform primitives!) how do we get to this freeform primitives thing? I see the transform arrows still get tiny and unusable if you resize something too small the arrows need to stay a constant size please! philnolan3d
how do we get to this freeform primitives thing? I see the transform arrows still get tiny and unusable if you resize something too small the arrows need to stay a constant size please! They are listed along with the other primitives but they start with FF. Like FF_Blob, and FF_Cube.
